Perfumery has always been about head-turning. Now, perfumes have been turned on their head. For the first time in fragrance history, a major, full-blown fragrance collection was launched as an homage to a great city. The name of this fragrance collection is Bond No. 9 (which is also the address of its headquarters boutique at 9 Bond Street, in NoHo). The city it celebrates is none other than — could be no other than — New York.

The Bond No. 9 collection — 34 women's, men's, and unisex eaux de parfum — has a dual mission: To restore artistry to perfumery, and to mark every New York neighborhood with a scent of its own. Each fragrance represents a specific downtown, midtown, or uptown locale or a city-wide sensibility. With new introductions in the coming seasons, Bond No. 9 infuses the island of Manhattan with scents.

Bond No. 9 is the passionate creation of French perfume expert, Laurice Rahme.
Laurice has restored the grand art of perfume blending, using only high 18-22 percent concentrations of pure eau de parfums - the long lasting concentrations of the legendary vintage scents of the 1920s and 1930s. Each fragrance has been blended in New York by hand-picked French parfumers, who like Laurice gravitated to NYC. Bond Token

Newly added to the Bond No 9 collection, the Perfumed Token, a solid-perfume compact, containing your choice of six of our most sought-after eaux de parfum. Stashed in its own perfect little white leather zipper case, it’s so street-smart it’ll glide through any turnstile. The compact’s refillable; the zipper case will lead a double life as a carry-case for rings, earrings, and lapel pins (with or without the American flag).

Also available in selected Bond No 9 fragrances, the Luxurious Body Cream. This unspeakably lush cream is a sumptuous body smoother that simultaneously soothes the skin — in the city that never sleeps. What’s more, it’s so rich in perfume that it will leave subtle traces on your lingerie and bed linen.

Bond No 9, Andy Warhol, Silver Factory

Silver Factory

Like all the scents-in-progress that we are designing for our Warhol repertory,
this one is of ambiguous male-female gender.

Bond No 9's Silver Factory, a smooth, smoky,
spicy blend of interlacing incense (a key scent of the ‘60s),
wood resin, and syrupy, seductive amber. But just to complicate things,
a heart of jasmine, iris, and violet—a scent that Warhol was especially fond of.
These slightly dissonant florals combine to evoke a metallic effect—
that of warmed-up, molten silver, and then, for the merest hint of coolness,
Bond No 9 threw in a handful of cedarwood.
